The sensor (15) for partial discharges in a chamber (1) of an electrical instrument, filled with a dielectric fluid, comprises an antenna (16, 18) sensitive to the electromagnetic waves generated by said partial discharges. Within said sensor, the antenna is formed by two electrodes separated by a dielectric resonator (17). By means of said arrangement the sensor has an improved sensitivity to ultra-high frequencies whilst having dimensions significantly smaller than those of a conventional antenna for ultra-high frequencies. |
