LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY FOR FORMING A STABLE MULTI-DOMAIN

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a stable multi-domain without using a complicated fabrication process. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes the first insulating substrate, the first line(Gn) formed on the first insulating substrate, the second line(Dm) that is formed on the first substrate and intersects the first line, and a pixel electrode formed at a pixel region defined at the intersection of the first and second lines. The LCD further includes a direction control electrode formed at the pixel region, the first thin film transistor(T1) connected to the first line, the second line and the pixel electrode, the second thin film transistor(T2) connected to the first line(Gn-1) of the previous stage, the second line(Dm-1,Dm+1) of the previous or next stage and the direction control electrode, the second insulating substrate facing the first insulating substrate, and a common electrode formed on the second substrate.
