PURPOSE: A display device and its driving method are provided which have good display response characteristics and display quality by writing a display signal within a write operation period. CONSTITUTION: A driving circuit drives an optical element. One end of the first current path is connected to one end of the optical element and another end of the first current path is connected to a driving power supply. The second current path(DL) is connected to the first current path electrically. A write control circuit flows a write current to another end of the first current path from one end of the first current path through the second current path. A charge accumulation circuit(Csa) accumulates charges accompanying the write current flowing through the first current path. And a driving control circuit drives a corresponding optical element by supplying a driving current to the optical element through the first current path.
