PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to change a common voltage according to an externally applied control signal, without attaching a variable resistance to an LCD device body. CONSTITUTION: An LCD assembly(300) consists of plural gate lines(G1-Gn), plural data lines(D1-Dm), and plural pixels arrayed in matrix type. A data driver(500) selects a gradation voltage corresponding to image data among plural gradation voltages, and applies the selected gradation voltage to the pixels as a data voltage. A common voltage generator(700) generates a common voltage, and supplies the common voltage to the pixels. A signal controller(600) supplies the image data, and generates a control signal for controlling the image data, then supplies the control signal to the data driver(500).
