PURPOSE: A copy protection system for a multifunction peripheral including a PVR(Personal Video Recorder) is provided to realize an electronic album function of the PVR and enable generation and edition of a disk through a disc recording/playing device. CONSTITUTION: A copy protection system includes a copy protection input/output control module(10), a hard disk drive(16), and an editor(18). The copy protection input/output control module receives media data and a descrambler key or copy protection information of the media data from a disk recording/playing device(14) and a network(12). The hard disk drive stores the media data and a descrambler key or copy protection information of the media data. The editor edits the media data stored in the hard disk drive. The media data edited by the editor is output to a PVR or the disk recording/playing device through the copy protection input/output control module.
