PURPOSE: A method and a system for adjusting the brightness of a monitor screen are provided to improve the bright uniformity and to automatically adjust the screen during a monitor manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A method for adjusting the brightness of a monitor screen during a monitor manufacturing process includes the steps of: transmitting(S1) condition data for making the brightness uniform to a main control unit(MCU) of the monitor; correcting(S2) an OSD contrast control bit by transmitting the condition data to an OSD contrast control register of a preamp; displaying(S3) in a full screen pattern by controlling an OSD unit according to the condition data; and preheating(S4) a shadow mask by controlling a contrast gain according to the corrected OSD contrast control bit.
