<p>The invention relates to a detection device for detecting individuals or objects and their direction of movement that comprises a radiation sensor array for detecting electromagnetic radiation having the wavelength of visible and/or non-visible light and being reflected or emitted by an individual or object. Said detection device also comprises an evaluation unit, which is connected to said sensor array. The evaluation unit is configured for forming a progression signal, which corresponds to the temporal progression of the radiation detected by the radiation sensor device, and the evaluation unit is connected to a memory.
