PURPOSE: An MP3 multi controller for a car is provided to receive control signals through an 8-pin cable, and to control a CD-ROM drive to perform specific functions corresponding to each control signal, in order to directly utilize a control panel of a car audio. CONSTITUTION: A CD-ROM drive(10) reproduces data. An outer input device(20) transmits the data. A microcomputer(110) has a data conversion program for generating specific control signals according to a data signal transmitted from a car audio(200), and controls an MP3 decoder(140) by specific control signals generated by performing a predetermined control operation according to a driving program recorded in a ROM. The MP3 decoder(140) decodes MP3 data, and converts it into audio data. A DAC(150) re-converts the audio data into an analog audio signal. An 8-pin cable(30) transmits the control signals to the microcomputer(110), and transmits the analog audio signal to the car audio(200). A control panel generates the data signal. The car audio(200) outputs the audio signal through a speaker(210).
