PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve for reducing the energy loss of a device to which the solenoid valve is applied, by reducing the flow rate of fluid to be drained from a drain port. SOLUTION: A valve between a supply port 12a and a control port 13b is constituted by a poppet valve PV, whereby the flow rate of drain is almost zero in the state of no current flowing in a coil 1 and the flow rate of drain is also reduced during carrying a less amount of current. A valve between the control port 13b and the drain port 13a is constituted by a spool valve SV, whereby the flow rate of drain is held down only to the amount of leakage from a clearance portion of the spool valve SV because the spool valve SV is in a closed condition during control.
