PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a job performing device capable of quickly and accurately canceling a job reservation by surely preventing job reservations of others from being canceled and performing user authentication only when required. SOLUTION: In a facsimile machine 1 capable of reserving a transmission job and canceling the reservation of the transmission job, a control part 10 clocks the time duration from the reservation of the last transmission job till the cancellation of the job reservation even though the user authentication is usually required at the time of the cancellation of the job reservation, and the user authentication before the cancellation of the job reservation is made unnecessary when the obtained clock value does not reach a prescribed value set by a time setting part 21.
