PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized camera which is equipped with a range finder for an AF mechanism and solves the problem of stray light. SOLUTION: A camera body is equipped with a lens barrel 14 which receives subject light, the range finder 25 which receives the reflected light from a subject and computes the distance up to the subject and a flash unit 2 which is disposed above the lens barrel and is provided with an opening and closing mechanism to pop up to expose the light emitting section toward the subject.
