PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a lorry assuring a high safety at the time of maintenance in which a selector valve for oil pressure can be changed over to the neutral lock position automatically when an operation cover is opened. SOLUTION: The lorry is equipped with an elevation valve 2 operated by a lever 1 and the selector valve 4 to be changed over by a changeover lever 3 into the lift position A and the damp position B and can make hydraulic lifting and dumping, wherein changing-over of the valve 4 to the neutral lock position N is made by opening the operation cover 5 covering the elevation lever 1 and the changeover lever 3.
