PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently deodorizing a malodorous substance such as ammonia or the like produced in the dust collection slurry dehydrating process of a steel making plant or the like without requiring pH control or the remodeling of a structure such as an exhaust duct or the like. SOLUTION: In the method for deodorizing the dust collection slurry, a wood vinegar liquid is added to the dust collection slurry before dehydration treatment in a dust collection slurry dehydrating process.
