PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short bamboo sword dedicated to indoor practice stroke which is widely shortened in length than a bamboo sword for match, but variation of a gravity center position and variation of air pressure feeling upon practice stroke are minimized to make the result of practice stroke useful for a match. SOLUTION: In this bamboo sword for indoor practice stroke, the total length (L) of a bamboo sword body (1) consisting of a blade part (2) and a hilt part (3) is set within a range of 65-75 cm, and its weight is made equal to that of the bamboo sword for match or above. The bamboo sword body (1) is formed of six or more split bamboo pieces (1<SB>1</SB>)-(1<SB>n</SB>) so as to minimize variation of a gravity center position and variation of air pressure feeling in practice stroke. The largest diameter (R) of the blade part (2) is made about 1.5-2.2 times as large as the largest diameter of the bamboo sword for match.
