<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability bipolar battery capable of forming an electrolyte sealing part while keeping a distance between collector foil pieces, and allowing the electrolyte sealing part to double as electrical insulation between electrodes, in a bipolar battery composed by serially connecting cell layers in the battery. <P>SOLUTION: In relation to a bipolar lithium ion secondary battery composed by stacking, by interposing an electrolyte layer, a plurality of bipolar electrodes each having a positive electrode formed on one surface of a collector and a negative electrode formed on the other surface thereof, this bipolar battery is so structured that spacers 23 each used for keeping the distance between the electrodes are installed in the electrolyte sealing parts on the electrode side surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
