PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing capable of carrying out lure action without hindrance in fishing. SOLUTION: In the reel for fishing, a fishline is wound around a spool 7 provided in a reel body 1 by rotation operation of a handle 5 provided on the side of the reel body 1 and an auxiliary operating member 40 capable of subsidiarily winding the fishline through a one-way clutch 50 is installed in a rotator rotating in cooperation with the handle by rotation operation of the handle 5. The auxiliary operating member 40 is equipped with an operating part 40b enabling rotating operation by fingers and upwardly protruded than the surface of a finger contact member 15 when the thumb is placed on the finger contact member 15 provided between side plates of the reel body.
