<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file conversion device easily processing a markup language. <P>SOLUTION: Tables 120, 130 are tables each expressed by an HTML. The upper table 120 originally includes the nested lower table 130 in a column 121. By the file conversion device, columns (2), (3), (4), (5) of the lower table 130 are respectively converted into columns II, IV, V, VIII of the upper table 120. Positions of the columns II, IV, V, VIII after the conversion respectively correspond to positions of the original columns (2), (3), (4), (5). Through such the conversion, a file of the HTML with the nested table is converted into the table without the nested table.
