PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently enhance silencing performance of a silencer and to make the silencer structurally compact without exerting an adverse influence, such as degradation in engine output, on another engine. SOLUTION: The silencer is constituted by providing a silencing chamber body 10 in which an exhaust gas passage 14 is formed with an exhaust gas introducing section 12 and exhaust gas discharge sections 13 communicating with the exhaust gas passage 14. The silencing chamber body 10 is provided with the exhaust gas discharge sections 13 the number of which is larger than that of the exhaust gas introducing sections 12 in such a manner that the exhaust gas flowing from the exhaust gas introducing sections 12 to the exhaust gas discharge sections 13 flows dividedly within the exhaust gas passage 14.
