A fuel regulating device comprises fuel feed means for feeding fuel to an internal combustion engine as a function of the operation of a fuel regulating valve, a hot wire air mass flow sensor in an air intake passage for the internal combustion engine for measuring the air flow passing the air intake passage, a memory, in which the output signals of the air mass flow sensor, the number of revolutions of the internal combustion engine or the operating time of the internal combustion engine are added up and retained after stopping of the engine, and a control device for heating of a hot wire to a temperature higher than the normal operating temperature for burning of deposits on the hot wire when the cumulative value in the memory has attained a set value and the engine is stopped.
