PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera having excellent operability in both cases of a still picture photography and a moving picture photography. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with: an optical system wherein the photographic directions are changed; an operation part 2 for switching first and second modes; and an interlock mechanism which changes the photographic directions of the optical system linked with mode switching between the first and second modes by an operation of the operation part 2.
