<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding capable of securely uniting a molding main body and an end cap with a clip and a manufacturing method thereof, in a combination of the molding main body having main material made of polypropylene and the end cap with the clip made of polyacetalresin. <P>SOLUTION: The molding main body is made of polypropylene, and the end cap is made of polyacetalresin. On the end cap, an inserting portion inserted in the molding main body, and the clip for attaching the molding main body to a vehicular outer surface are integrally formed. At a part where the molding main body and the end cap inserting portion are overlapped, a recessed portion is formed from an inner surface of the molding main body toward the end cap inserting portion by thermal caulking. The recessed portion has depth allowing a forward end thereof reach the end cap inserting portion, and a molten resinous layer is formed over the whole inner wall surface and the molding main body inner surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
