PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed camera and a high-speed imaging method employing it in which a part of a pick-up image is reproduced by slow motion and viewed while carrying out high-speed imaging, the vectors of the track, the speed, and the like, of an moving object are displayed while being superposed on a slow motion image, and the number of imaging frames is altered during high-speed imaging. SOLUTION: The high-speed camera comprises a lens for imaging an object, and a section for splitting the optical path of a pixel from the lens wherein an external synchronization CCD camera is provided at the optical path splitting section and a synchronization control section for controlling the CCD camera to perform imaging sequentially is also provided.
