PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a malfunction of a stopper member caused by opening and closing of an external casing without impairing a document tip regulating function when a document is placed which is a primary function of the stopper member. SOLUTION: In a composition wherein the outer casing 1 is provided so it can freely open and close around a spindle 2, and the stopper member 4, and an engagement piece 9 engaging with the stopper member 4 are individually provided so they can freely rock around spindles 3 and 9c respectively, one end part of an arm member 37 is supported on the external casing 1 so it can freely rock, and another end part of the arm member 37 is fixed to the spindle 3 of the stopper member 4. When the external casing 1 is closed from an opened state, and a lower end part of the stopper member 4 in an engaged state with the engagement piece 9 abuts on the document 11 placed on a document tray 10 and pushed upward, the other end part of the arm member 37 rocks upward, and following this, the stopper member 4 is pushed upward.
