PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box-type container which is suitable mostly for a fishing container that can be easily folded, carried and can keep its self-standing characteristic in its cubic formed state. SOLUTION: This box-type container is constructed such that side plates 3 constituting a container main body 1 are made of a flexible sheet material and the container main body 1 can be folded flat, storing pockets 7 are formed along the side plates 3 and hard board members 8 can be removably stored in the storing pockets 7 to cause the container main body 1 to have a self-standing characteristic and then the container main body 1 is folded flat by pulling out the hard board members 8.
