IMPULSE RESTRICTION DEVICE OF SLIDE PANEL FOR SUNROOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved impulse restriction device for a slide panel for a sunroof capable of suppressing an impact load applied to a cable member at collision of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The sunroof has a slide member (21) sliding on a guide rail (6) extended in a longitudinal direction at a side part of an opening (2) of a roof of the vehicle and longitudinally driven by the cable member (11); and a slide panel (3) connected to the slide member and opening/closing the opening. The slide member and the cable member are bonded by a fragile part (25) cuttable by inertia force applied to the slide panel at the collision of the vehicle and a rotation cam (26) is provided on the slide member. A pressing part (31) always abutting on an upstream side of a rotation direction of the rotation cam is provided on the cable member. When the fragile part is cut, the cable member and the slide member are separated from each other and the slide member is forwardly moved with the slide panel, the rotation cam is pressed by the pressing part to rotate the rotation cam and the forward movement of the slide panel is restricted by biting a part of the rotation cam to the guide rail.
