PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber module which does not pollute the inside of the package with the components degassed from the fiber coating, and has sufficiently secure strength of the optical fiber part, and can be formed at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the fiber module consisting of a package 1 having a structure capable of sealing the inside and an optical fiber 5 of a predetermined length whose one end 5a is fixed to the package 1 in the state facing the inside of the package 1, the other end part of the optical fiber 5 is made a bare line part 6 where the clad is not coated, and the other part of the optical fiber 5 is made a part 7 coated with a metallic and/or an inorganic substance over the whole length.
