<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of easily performing a checking work by a connection worker of a pipe 7 and a visual re-checking work by an inspector in subsequent steps. <P>SOLUTION: A connector body 10 is formed so as to allow the pipe 7 to be inserted therein. A retainer 30 is provided on the connector body 10, and movable to a locking position to lock the pipe 7 inserted in a regular connection position. A checker 40 is attachably/detachably fitted to the connector body 10. A first engagement means which retains the retainer 30 at a temporary locking position through engagement with each other, and disengages the retainer by the pipe 7 inserted at the regular connection position is provided between the connector body 10 and the retainer 30.
