摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a device for an array antenna for quickening convergence speed and for improving a symbol error rate at the time of convergence as low in comparison with the conventional technology. SOLUTION: A radio signal to be transmitted is an m-phase PSK modulation signal, an adaptive controller 20 calculates and sets a reactance value of a variable reactance element which directs a main beam of the array antenna to the direction of a desired wave and directs null to the direction of an interference wave by updating the reactance value by using a norm function in which a calculated gradient vector becomes maximum and after that, updating the reactance value by using a norm function by a high-order moment ratio method as a function by dividing a square value of an absolute value of an average value of an m-th power value of a receiving signal in a prescribed period by an average value of a square value of an absolute value of the m-th power value of the receiving signal when repetition frequencies become the prescribed ones when the reactance value of the variable reactance element is calculated by using the steepest gradient method based on the receiving signal received by an excitation element A0 of an array antenna device 100.
