<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device, and a program for text selection that can securely select a meaningfully important word etc. exerting influence when a sentence set used to generate a speech database for speech synthesis is understood by obtaining a synthesized speech. <P>SOLUTION: The text selecting method includes the stages of: dividing respective texts of a candidate text group and a text group for learning into subjects and predicates, three-chain morphemes, and two-chain morphemes of a linguistic layer, and constituent elements of the morphemes; dividing them into three-chain syllables and two-chain syllables of an acoustic layer, and constituent elements of the syllables and phonemes; finding as a coverage rate the rate of each constituent element of each candidate text to all the constituent elements of the same layer of all texts for learning; finding as a layer coverage rate the sum of coverage rates of constituent elements by layers for each candidate text; weighting and adding the layer coverage rates of the respective candidate texts to obtain importance; and selecting a combination of candidate texts whose data amount sum is not more than a specified value and whose importance sum is maximum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
