PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving handrail device of a passenger conveyor where a finger is easily pulled out even when the finger of a passenger coming between a protective cylinder disposed on the end surface of the parapet and a moving handrail is drawn into depth side. SOLUTION: When the passenger inserts the finger between the tip of the protective cylinder 7 projected from a base end surface 4 of the parapet 3 and the moving handrail 6, the finger is sandwiched and pressed between a tip cylinder 13 of the protective cylinder 7 and the moving handrail 6. However, the tip cylinder 13 is flexibly produced, so that the finger can be pulled out. A base cylinder 12 is made of viscoelastic material. Therefore, when the finger sandwiched between the tip cylinder 13 and the moving handrail 6 is drawn into the base cylinder 12 of the protective cylinder 7, it is eliminated that the drawn finger is sandwiched between the moving handrail 6 and the base cylinder 12 and is hardly pulled out.
