<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with ink management for each color, which leads to ease of use and elimination of waste in ink. <P>SOLUTION: Ink 32 is constituted such that four kinds of small diameter microcapsules 34 (34m, 34c, 34y and 34k) are dispersed at random in a solvent 33. (Large diameter microcapsules 36 are dispersed for ink 32'.) The microcapsules 34 are provided with small diameter microcapsule walls 35 which are destroyed with the ultrasonic waves of a predetermined resonance frequency, include a color coupler 38, and are also provided with outer surfaces covered with a developer 39. The microcapsules 34m, 34c, 34y and 34k develop magenta, cyan, yellow, and black colors. The ink 32 is irradiated with ultrasonic waves of a frequency corresponding to a desired color while the ink is being carried to be replenished, thereby developing the color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
