<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuously casting steel with which clogging by Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>in molten steel is prevented and the structural stability of which is high without spoiling the cleanliness of a slab and without hindering the stability of the continuous casting operation when continuously casting the molten steel. <P>SOLUTION: At least part of the immersion nozzle 1 for continuous casting for supplying the molten steel in a casting mold is composed of a refractory material 22 of a refractory substance containing one or more kinds of metals selected from a metal group consisting of metal Al, metal Ti, metal Zr, metal Ce and metal Ca and carbon of < 10 mass% which are mixed with a refractory material containing at least spinel (MgO-Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) and/or MgO-containing material including magnesia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
