PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine controller capable of starting the next operation in a proper time regardless of the fluctuation of an actual operation in response to a command and shortening an operation time without causing any problem such as interference. SOLUTION: This machine controller is provided with: a shaft movement control means 13 which controls a predetermined moving mechanism 3 for moving a traveling object 2 and moves the traveling object 2 to a commanded position; and a next operation start timing control means 19 which controls a machine 1 to be controlled and starts the predetermined next operation when the traveling object 2 reaches a predetermined preliminary position before the commanded position. This next operation start timing control means 19 recognizes that the traveling object 2 has reached the predetermined preliminary position from the detection value of a current position detecting means 17.
