PURPOSE: A power supply system is provided to increase the capacity of the battery by permitting the auxiliary battery to be automatically charged when the main battery is charged. CONSTITUTION: A power supply system comprises an auxiliary battery(30) connected in parallel with a main battery(10) so as to receive an electrical energy through a generator, wherein the auxiliary battery is charged with an electrical energy supplied from the generator in accordance with the switching operation of an auxiliary battery charger relay; a relay drive control unit(40) for controlling the switching operation of the auxiliary battery charger relay; an auxiliary battery voltage detection unit(50) for detecting the output voltage of the auxiliary battery and supplying/cutting off the electrical energy being output to loads; and a starter switch(60) for supplying the electrical energy of the auxiliary battery to the main battery.
