<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for an elevator capable of carrying out quick supervision operation in the earthquake supervision operation and fire supervision operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the operation device for an elevator, two cars 1A, 1B independently driven respectively are arranged in the same hoistway.
