PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the standby time before a sealing member internal pressure becomes approximately an atmospheric pressure after a suction pump was actuated in a state while communication with the atmosphere is cut by sealing of a nozzle opening face in a liquid droplet injection type recording head function maintenance operation, and to hold the best workability and printing quality by maintaining an environment inside the nozzle opening sealing member constant even when an operation stop time of the head is long. SOLUTION: A liquid droplet injection type recording device is provided a pressure feed means 2 on an ink supply path or in an ink container 1 to supply ink to the head, and is constituted so that the ink is positively supplied to the recording head 7 with the use of the pressure feed means, and a negative pressure in the nozzle opening face 8 sealing member 10 is resolved in its early stages, and the standby time is eliminated. And also, it is constituted so that the working efficiency is improved accordingly. An atmosphere opening valve 13 of the sealing member is opened while the nozzle opening face is sealed during the operation stop of the recording head. An opening end of the atmosphere opening valve is disposed in a waste ink 23 of the container which communicates with the atmosphere, and the inside of the sealing member while being made to follow a peripheral environmental variation is always kept in a state to be moist.
