METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing electrophotographic toner in which particles of an electrification controlling agent are uniformly fixed to at least near the surface of toner mother particles and are hardly separated therefrom. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrophotographic toner is carried out by using a fluidized agitation type mixer which is equipped with a rotator having at least agitation blades and with a jacket to control temperature by allowing a coolant to flow in the wall part and which has a spheric mixing chamber. The electrophotographic toner is manufactured by stirring and mixing toner mother particles comprising at least a binder resin, a coloring agent and a release agent with an electrification controlling agent by rotating the stirring blades at 65 to 115 m/s stirring rate (peripheral velocity) to fix the electrification controlling agent to the surface of the toner mother particles.
