PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirming method for the sealing property of a vacuum die casting mold, by which the sealing properties of a movable die and a fixed die can be individually confirmed at a stage before setting the mold in a casting machine. SOLUTION: Within a movable die 10 constituting the vacuum die casting mold, a movable-die inner-chamber 12b communicating with a plurality of rod member inserting holes 10a-10d, into which an ejector pin 16 and the like are inserted, is formed. The movable-die inner-chamber 12b communicates with a movable-die opening 11a on the outer surface of the movable die 10. A small-sized vacuum tank 44 is connected to the movable-die opening 11a before setting the mold in the casting machine, and a confirming process of the sealing property of the movable die is conducted. In the process, the degree of vacuum in the movable-die inner-chamber 12b is measured to judge whether the degree reaches a specified level predetermined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
