<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a danger of occurrence of oxygen deficiency to an operator caused by sudden opening of a door in the state where nitrogen gas is filled in a sample chamber, when performing analysis after purging the air in the sample chamber or in an analysis chamber. <P>SOLUTION: At the idling time other than the analysis time, a spectroscope 12 is set so as to take out light having the absorption wavelength of oxygen gas, and an optical path switching part 13 is set so as to select a reference side optical path Lr. A photometric value is acquired repeatedly in the state, and the light receiving energy intensity is calculated and compared with a threshold. Since the air is purged following the filling of the purging nitrogen gas in the sample chamber 20, absorption by the oxygen gas is reduced and the light receiving energy intensity is increased. When the intensity reaches the threshold or higher, display is performed on an alarm display part 33 in order to report that the nitrogen gas is filled in the sample chamber 20.
