ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH CONDUCTIVE PLASTIC FEATURES

An electrical connector providing improved shielding through the use of a plastic binder filled with a conductive filler. A multi-step injection molding operation is used to form the connector so that conducting and non-conducting housings can be easily created for the same connector. Examples of backplane and daughter card connectors made with this technique are disclosed.
