<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enhances positioning accuracy characteristics through the use of a fine tune of each gain parameter and a relationship between a speed loop and a position loop by allowing a machine automatically to move with in a movable range. <P>SOLUTION: The method for automatically adjusting a position loop gain detects a bias for position oscillations through the use of movements, stops and trivial distance transfers by moving the machine within the movable range; and adjusts the gain for the position loop if a position vibrates in a low state of the position loop, and also if the position vibrates in a defined down position of the speed loop. The method modifies the relationship between a speed loop gain and the position loop gain by adjusting the position loop gain if the relationship between these gains are wrong. A decision condition for positioning is generated based on a result of no-vibration, which is derived from a means for detecting a positioning vibration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
