PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized position detection device and a blur correction device capable of performing correct position detection without reducing accuracy, and avoiding position indefiniteness. SOLUTION: This position detection device for performing position detection by detecting a magnetic field in the normal direction on the magnet 11, 12 surface by a magnet detection element 13 is equipped with a soft limit provided in a range S where the output characteristic of the magnetic field detected by the magnet detection element 13 becomes approximately linear, for restricting for control a relative moving range of the magnet detection element 13, and a hard limit provided in a range H in the same direction as the inclination in the range where the inclination of the output characteristic of the magnet detection element 13 becomes approximately linear, for limiting physically the relative moving range of the magnet detection element 13.
