PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric mirror device for a vehicle capable of preventing or reducing generation of fine motion due to the position error in the case of return movement of the mirror to the reproducing target position such as rear wheel confirmation position. SOLUTION: In the electric mirror device 20 for the vehicle, when the return control of motors 90, 92 from the rear wheel confirmation positions Xb, Yb starts, the motors 90, 92 are driven toward the return positions Xc, Yc. However, if the output voltage X, Y of detection parts 108, 110 after finishing the return are within a predetermined range C, redriving of the motors 90, 92 are not performed. Therefore, the fine motion of the mirror with the redriving of the motors 90, 92 is suppressed. If the error D between the return positions Xc, Yc and the reproducing target positions Xa, Ya exceeds 2LSB, the return positions Xc, Yc are reset to the reproducing target positions Xa, Ya.
