PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a receiving and dispensing device of coins with coin hoppers arranged in the upper and lower parts. SOLUTION: This receiving and dispensing device of coins comprises a coin receiving device; a selective carrying device for separately carrying coins received by the receiving device one by one; a plurality of sorting part for every denomination formed in ascending order of diameter toward the carrying direction; a plurality of coin hoppers for retaining coins distributed from the sorting part in bulk and dispensing them one by one, which are arranged vertically in a plurality of rows, with the vertically located coin hoppers being neatly aligned in the vertical direction; a guide device for guiding coins from the sorting part to the coin hoppers; and a dispensing device for feeding the coins dispensed from the coin hoppers to an outlet port.
