PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a person to be measured from breathing disguisedly. SOLUTION: An alcohol detector is provided with an alcohol sensor 5 which measures alcohol concentration values in exhalation flowing from a blowing opening, and a sensing means being disposed at an introducing channel 10 through which the exhalation passes and detecting a condition in which the pressure of the exhalation is not less than a prescribed value, and is made up so that a measurement result indicative of the alcohol concentration value in the exhalation is output when the sensing means detects that a prescribed condition is met. In particular, the sensing means is made up of a pressure valve 15 which opens when the exhalation meets the prescribed condition, and when the pressure valve 15 opens, the alcohol concentration value is measured by the alcohol sensor 5, and the measurement result is output.
