PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storage device for a directly mounted vending machine which can easily and reliably adjust the passage effective width of a commodity storage pathway. SOLUTION: The commodity storage device has a vertical movement transmitting plate 21 disposed over a dispensing part 2a and a commodity guide 2b, a plurality of first link plates 22 whose one end side is supported from a spot corresponding to the dispensing part 2a of the vertical movement transmitting plate 21 to a plurality of positions located above the spot, a plurality of second link plates 24 whose respective one end sides are supported by a second side wall 3b and another respective end sides are coupled to the first link plates 22, a passage effective width adjusting plate 25 which can move in the passage widthwise direction by making contact with the first link plate 22 and the second link plate 24 from a first side wall 3a side, and a positioning part 18 which is installed on the second side wall 3b and can position the one end side of a positioning link plate 26 which is one of the plurality of first link plates 22 and is located at the spot corresponding to the dispensing part 2a.
