<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifier having satisfactory workability for a particulate filter stored in a jacket of a muffler and capable of air washing and water washing. SOLUTION: As to the exhaust gas purifier equipped with the particulate filter 4 in the jacket 8 of the muffler 7 at a terminal end part of an exhaust pipe 3, an inlet side opening with larger diameter 12 and an outlet side opening 13 are formed at front and rear end faces of the jacket of the muffler 7, and washer parts 12a, 13a formed at these outer peripheries are mutually fastened with a flange part 3a at the terminal end part of the exhaust pipe 3 and a flange part 11a at the beginning end part of a tail pipe 11 by overlapping. Completely removing the muffler 7 from a vehicle body, a worker carries out air washing and water washing with satisfactory workability by inserting his/her hand grasping an air hose or washing hose from both the inlet side opening 12 and the outlet side opening 13 at the front and rear end faces.</p> |
