<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pellet shape abrasives which are suitable for blast polishing, and has improved shock resistance, and are difficult to crack, and improved in their polishing property. <P>SOLUTION: The pellet shape abrasives are made of polyamide containing 0.05-0.3 pts.wt. bisamide compound in a 100 pts.wt. polyamide component. The abrasives are configured such that the abrasive has a polygonal cross section having the value of Sa/Sb of 0.40 to 0.80, where Sa is the cross sectional area of the abrasive perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, and Sb is the area of the circumscribed circle having a radius equal to the distance from the gravity center of the cross section to the farmost point of the cross sectional profile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
