A monitoring function-equipped dispensing system and a method of monitoring the dispensing system for accurately and precisely identifying conditions in a pipeline by not only opticallymeasuring conditions in a pipeline but performing other measurements reinforcing the former. The system comprises at least one translucent or semi-translucent pipelines, at least one pressure regulating units for respectively regulating pressures in the pipelines, a unit for allowing the pipelines to be elevated/lowered, a pressure measuring unit for measuring pressures in pipelines when operation instructions are given to the pressure regulating units, an optical measurement unit for optically measuring conditions in pipelines above the container disposition area when operations based on operation instructions including operation instructions to the pressure regulating units are completed, and a monitoring unit for judging conditions in pipelines based on the above operations instructions and measurement results by the pressure measuring unit and the optical measurement unit to obtain monitoring results that associate the judged results with respective pipelines and the above operation instructions.
