DATA SIGNAL CONTROL CIRCUIT OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, ESPECIALLY USING A MULTIPLEXER TO CONTROL A CONTROL IC FOR A WHITE AND A BLACK MODE

PURPOSE: A data signal control circuit of a liquid crystal display device is provided, which is used in both of a white mode liquid crystal panel and a black mode liquid crystal panel using one controller IC. CONSTITUTION: A controller IC(2) receives a data signal and other signals from a signal input unit(1) and controls them. A signal conversion unit(3) receives a signal being output from the controller IC, and outputs a controller IC signal or its inverted signal. A data signal driving unit(4) receives an output signal of the signal conversion unit. The signal conversion unit is a multiplexer. When the controller IC is in a normally white mode, a selection signal port of the multiplexer is grounded and then the output signal of the controller IC is inputted to the data signal driving unit and is applied to a normally white mode liquid crystal panel. If the selection signal port of the multiplexer is connected to a power supply voltage, an inverted controller IC output signal is inputted to the data signal driving unit and thus is applied to a normally black mode liquid crystal panel.
